scart is one thing..s-video another as far as i know..either you have an
s-video plug on your tv or you dont..converters can be bought that convert
s-video to scart but my experience is that they dont work well.
From what you read from the manual, i dont think you have a s-video

Installation is debian Woody with a 2.4.20 kernal (not debian kernel)
Everything was going fine until I attempted to run Tuxracer! (everything else

I had Dell service my Inspiron 8000. Of course, the upgraded the bios. Now,
when I open the laptop from a suspend, the system fan starts up and never
quits until I shutdown the machine.
The kicker is that the system fan problem only occurs with Debian, not with

Havent really received any replies to this post, however i must let
everyone know what the problem was.
Basically it was a matter of massive cerebral hemorraging - my brain
actually. In /etc/pcmcia/conf I had a faulty bind for my card..it was
binding to a non existent device...I had seen

Xfree) to enable DRI on my Radeon 7500.

I'm using now the library |libdvdread2 using /dev/cdrom.
Do you now about some driver for my /dev/ library for my laptop.
By the way, my laptop is thinkpad-r30 with dvd Hitachi GD-S250.

section from 1400x1050 and duplicated it for all resolutions.
now when I run Tuxracer I just get a blue screen, with sound.
