Hello laptop.deb's,
I have gotten a NEW OLD LAptop and I like to install Debian.
MS-Dos 6.2 was no problem, but... it's a Microsoft product.
Which Version of Debian is recommended ?
bo, hamm, slink, potatop or woody ?
Oh yes, I have no CD and no lpd-port. Only one Floppy and mono-display.

Hello list!
I have a brand new compaq Evo N410c, but I have to wait for a while

Of course I should have said more. The system has "Windows 2000 Professional"
preinstalled. On startup, I can press F10 to enter setup and get the boot
options:
Quickboot (can enable or disable)
MultiBoot (can enable or disable)
Boot order (can choose)
NoteBook MultiBay1
NoteBook MultiBay2

Hi Listies:
And to add to this question, can you use SAMBA to access windows on a
different partition of the same HD from the drive?

It appears that NSS does work with NetBIOS names; the name to know is
