Hi,
I am running Debian
potato with XFree 3.3.6, and I can only start X server as root ; otherwise I get
a message "user is not authorized to start X server"
I tried to modify my
/etc/X11/Xserver file by replacing root by anybody but it doesn't
work.

Hello,
Somebody help me with lilo : how can I cancel lilo from the MBR and reinstall
windows NT boot loader.
I have installed NT in my first partion and Linux in the second. Now when I
start my PC, it opens directly in the Linux.I don't have access to windows NT.

Please remember to execute the 'lilo' command after editing your
lilo.conf file. Simply execute 'lilo -v -v'( The two -v's will give you
a verbose output ). This will commit your changes to the /etc/lilo.conf
file.

Well if you didn't like the other answers, the simple (but not too linux
friendly :) answer from man lilo:
This is barely a laptop problem, but I'll keep my fingers crossed.
Occasionally my battery runs out of juice without any warning: no
flashing orange light or anything like that; everything just shuts
down. If this happens in console mode, there's generally no problems
when I find a plug and star
Thanks David,

Yes. During config you can select whatever locales you want but no locales
will be created. I have consulted /usr/share/doc/
