Hi, thanks for all useful hints (I got new hope).
What I did:
* installed ssmtp and mutt
* customized /etc/muttrc like Clayton told
* dialled in with pppd (www-browser worked)
* started mutt with: mutt -F /etc/muttrc
* --- no mails downloaded from ISP-POP - no messages from mutt --- ?
BTW:
* What
Mutt gets mail when you ask it to by pressing G (that's capital G).
The standard debian mutt package has pop support compiled in -- at
least it does under potato. ssmtp doesn't have anything to do with
getting your mail; it handles your outgoing mail.

Does this mean I win? ;)

OK, first off, it's usually a nicer solution to customize your
own ~/.muttrc as opposed to the global one. Especially if you're
putting things like your email passw
One more thing:
> * Is the "standard" mutt (debian package) not compiled with POP3-support?
I believe that it is, but you can easily check by running
`mutt -v` and looking for `+USE_POP'

hi,
how do I get my X fullscreen?
And if anyone has an xf86config with all advanced option for the card and
display used on the tecra 8100/8200, I'd be interested.
