i8000 : Can't build pcmcia modules

I'm trying to compile pcmcia modules for a 2.4.3 kernel I built for my Inspiron 8000. I compiled the 2.4.3 kernel (which is in /usr/src/linux) and then went in /usr/src/modules/pcmcia-cs and executed dpkg-buildpackage. I get this error:   rm -f build build-modules test -f man/pcmcia.5 -a -f
