Hello, Recently I downloaded the floppy disk images of the latest release (2.2.17r1) of Debian to Install on a Toshiba (T4700CT) Laptop Computer. The installation appears to complete successfully using the Compact version of the Root, Rescue and Driver disks, unfortunately when I attempt to bo

I don't have a dell, but I do use X4 and an Ati-mobility. Note that in my X4 setup, I didn't need any modeline settings like I did in x3. X4 detected everything. Here's my XF86Config btw, with X4, try XFree86 --configure, then look in your root home dir for an XF86Config.new. Try using that

All working now - started tcpdump, and everything worked fine - I read in another post that there may be something about that particular card (ARP caching issues?) that keeps it from operating correctly until it is put in promiscuous mode - something tcpdump would do.
