Hello ! I ahven'tt read the other peoples responses yet so this could be redudant information. I have a Dell Inspiron 3800 with almost the same hardeware.
Sound http://www.zabbo.net/maestro3/ Works great!! (and not as lousy as the OSS once) And they are "free" (as in speach and beer) GFX I guess XFree86 4 solves this but if you dosen't want to upgrade I solved it with help from http://www.eecs.umich.edu/~steveh/inspiron/ Take a look in the XWindows section. Network and modem Sorry, dosen't have the same HW here.
