I have a Dell Lattitude CPx and the Xircom CBEM56G-100 card.
When I ran pcmcia-cs-3.1.22 I had to run it in promisc mode
all the time. I upgraded to pcmcia-cs-3.1.25 and now I don't
need to run it in promisc mode all the time, but I have to

Well, my Xircom RealPort (REM56G-100) continues to timeout every 1
minute or so (and it stays "offline" for about 30 seconds and them
recovers).
This happens with kernel 2.4.5, pcmcia-cs-3.1.26 and
$ /sbin/lsmod
Module Size Used by
xirc2ps_cs 14048 1
maestro
I am using a Xircom Realport2 Cardbus Adapter. Which driver do you
use? The one with the kernel or with pcmcia-cs?

It's IBM EtherJet, but reported as Xircom Cardbus Adapter.

Indeed, it works wonders :-) So I'm happy to report success story with
xircom card and PCMCIA module from 2.4.5 kernel.

Hi,
I've got a Xircom CBEM56G modem/ethernet card, which used to work fine
under 2.2.x kernels and the standard pcmcia-cs package. For other
reasons, I've had to upgrade to 2.4 and was trying to get it to work
with the pcmcia drivers included in the kernel. In my laptop, the new
