Seems like I didn have to do that in RedHat, but in
Debian I had to ;)

I downloaded the sound driver from http://www.4front-tech.com/linux.html.
After I recompiled the kernel to exclude any sound driver, I try to
install this driver: osslinux396b-2x.tar.gz for my VIA97 card.
