Dear all, I downloaded the sound driver from http://www.4front-tech.com/linux.html. After I recompiled the kernel to exclude any sound driver, I try to install this driver: osslinux396b-2x.tar.gz for my VIA97 card.
After the files were installed I typed /usr/local/lib/oss/soundon as suggested by the install script. I got: ############################################ This Open Sound System copy is licensed for limited evaluation use only.
