Forgot to put this on there, but the package for Buster can be found at
https://packages.debian.org/buster/firmware-iwlwifi

Good Morning Mr. D’Costa,
I just did this exact thing this Monday. What you’ll want to do is find and
download the firmware-iwlwifi package[1], put it onto a flash drive and plug it
into the laptop when it asks for the driver on removable media. The software
should find the file on its own and

I also tried installing from regular Debian Buster 10.2 net

Actually, if you open the firmware-iwlwifi page[1], then click on it's
source page[2], then go to the "Source Repository"[3], then you can
notice that the changelog #12280 states "Update Intel Wireless 3945

Yay for Debian, then :)
Now if only I could recompile it with the tickless option...

It is a additional feature of the Debian kernel.

I couldn't check the Debian changelog to see if it's some Debian specific
patch, but as

Hi all!
I recently wrote up some instructions on how to install the new Intel iwlwifi
drivers under Debian Etch or Lenny. For those not in the know, these drivers
are the only way to get the 4965 chipset working under linux or are an
alternative for those using the 3945 chipset and who don
Actually, something weird is now happening... my wireless card will only
work in Network-Manager is installed, and when it isn't, it won't work
at all. Also, it won't connect during startup, and I have to do an
ifdown and ifup to get it to work. And finally, Network Manager doesn't
recognize it,
Hmmm.. Strange. I had installed it and restarted numerous times, and
then I install Network Manager, and it starts to work for me! Network

On my laptop it works beautifully. Assuming that the module is correctly
loaded (lsmod | grep iwl4965), did you take the correct firmware? Does it
work through NetworkManager?

Hey everyone,
I'm running Debian Sid, AMD64 on a new Lenovo T61. I've tried to

have the microcode in /lib/firmware, and have a 2.6.22 kernel which has
