Stuart, thanks for your howto. I wanted to add that iwlwifi is included in 2.6.23 and that the new Debian kernels will be built with that option included. I am now using an experimental kernel from the Debian kernel team, and it works a treat. The user will only have to install the microcode in /lib/firmware.
