I've set up the /etc/pcmcia/apm.opt as follows APM=suspend If I run in manually ('cardctl suspend') then the card will suspend (power off). Otherwise it will allow my PC to suspend, but with the pcmcia card fully powered (light is on) H.Heinold wrote: On Thu, Sep 06, 2001 at 05:49:20AM -04

A couple thoughts: -Consider looking into the apmd scripts to eliminate this behavior. -Take a look at the apmd mailing list archives for more info: http://www.worldvisions.ca/~apenwarr/apmd/list/thread.html /paul

does the same problem accur if you have a different pcmcia nic card on the same laptop? viceversa, does that card still perform exactly the same on another laptop? Perhaps with these results with the two cards, there might be a setting thats wrong in the bios when it comes to power saving. Try
