I've been having the same problem on my T22 since about 2.4.6. I now
compile eepro100 as a module and down the interface on each suspend
and try bring it back up on resume. After taking the interface down,
I remove the module in /etc/network/interfaces:
post-down /sbin/modprobe -r eepro100
I've had no problems since I started doing this.
However, if your laptop is going to sleep every 10 minutes, doing this
is going to be gross...
