rescue/root diskets an it worked... thanks for the
help. now i gotta jus figure out how to setup file
sharing in linux an ill be set:)

I installed debian 2.1 on my machine-- after not being able to get debian
2.2 to work (this was about 1 1/2 years ago, when 2.2 ws still unstable) and
I think that I had to use the "floppy=thinkpad" option to the kernel @
bootup. I also booted and did the network install.

all the listings for 760 models and got some idears
but nothing yet.
doh didnt think abt the cdrom not being able to read
a burnt cd. that xplains some things.
