In contrast to many previous comments I;m gonna have to say that my HP
Pavillion dv6000 has been running Squeeze with no serious problems
whatsoever. However, we're talking about a laptop with an Intel 945
graphics card, which is something you're definitely not looking after.

Dell Latitude Laptops seem to work with current Linux Distributions out
of the box (at least the Dell Latitude E6500, which even has GPS. I read
this in the user comments on the DELL website).
I bought a Lenovo T500 recently (1249 €). Everything works out of the
box, except the internal UMTS-Mode

It's really not that simple. Broadcom has apparently never released
any specs, so the native linux drivers have to be
