Hi Alexander! Whether you're going with HP or Dell, avoid by all means the ones with nvidia chips. My dv2416 got bricked because of it. I don't know if nvidia have actually fixed all the issues, but i won't buy another laptop with nvidia chips in it. Ever. It's a loooooong story, so please read more about it here: http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/news/1051956/pressure-mounts-hp-failing- nvidia-graphics-cards http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/news/1004378/why-nvidia-chips-defective http://www.theinquirer.net/gb/inquirer/news/2008/09/01/nvidia-should- defective-chips http://www.theinquirer.net/gb/inquirer/news/2008/09/01/nv-should http://news.cnet.com/8301-13924_3-10000910-64.html -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-laptop-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
