But there is nothing wrong with the hardware or the BIOS.

I have an Averatec 3225 laptop which, until recently, has been problem free.
Unfortunately, over the summer, I was tempted and installed kubuntu.
This all worked nicely but screwed up my video modes, so I couldn't
get a textmode console. Further more, neither 'text mode' nor graphics
would appear

I just bought a 1GB Memorex Travelstick and am having difficulty using it.
I'm running testing and everything seems OK at first: I get the
kernel messages telling me that the stick is recognised, gives me the
vendor and suchlike, tells me that SCSI device sda has 2007040 51-12
byte hdwr sectors

Lucky you. I've installed two machines from the RC1 disc one a desktop

What puzzles me is the differenes between the two

Well, having downloaded ndiswrapper 0.9 I've finally managed to get it

Unfortunately iwconfig shows an access point address of 00:00: etc

I'm running sarge (used the new installer) on an Averatec 3220. Only a 12"
screen but an AMD Athlon CPU. DVD-ROM/CD-RW is nice.
Everything works

I recently did an upgrade on my notebook (A Dell Latitude CP/x running
sarge), which pulled down XFree4.3.
I then updated the GATOS ATI drivers from sourceforge and installed
them, but unfortunately atitvout still refuses to allow me to connect
an external monitor (or projector).
Has anyone else
