leaves them? But if you have been trying to get sound to the speakers,
that looks like the first place to start. If you didn't have pulseaudio
there, I would tell you to read the man page for alsamixer.

Another point: you
touchpad. Otherwise it gets treated like an
ordinary mouse. I don't remember whether that even works on a touchpad
or if any module got loaded at all. Maybe just psmouse? It is all too
long ago, but just try an xorg.conf entry and see what happens.

It looks as if the recent xserver upgrade has broken almost all slightly
non standard X configurations because a full set of fdi files were not
also shipped. Whether in hal, hal-info or maybe xserver-fdi? :-(
