I have problem with the APM on a Inspiron4000. I have to close the lid
twice that the system suspend itself. It wouldn't be a big problem but
after the resume the X breaks. Only a system reboot can repair it. I use
unstabe and Woody Debian with 2.4.18 kernel and I40-A21 bios version.

I have a Psion Gold 56k+Fax modem card. It works fine when I download
any file or webpages but when I try to upload something onto an other
machine using ftp or scp the data transfer is very slow. I use the
unstable distribution with 2.4.13 kernel on a Dell Inspiron 4000.

I use the unstable distribution on a Dell Inspiron 4000 laptop. The recompiled
2.4.7 kernel doesn't work. At the boot time it can't mount the root file
system and the booting process stops with the following message:
request_module[block-major-3]: Root fs not mounted
