Hello again!
I've bought another pcmcia card, named "FiberLine 10M Ethernet COMBO
FL-4680" and - well - everything's working fine:
The card is recognized correctly, the modules are loaded and last not
least I already connected to my private network.
Still, the Goldstar-Card is not working!

A few months ago I bought a travelmate 291. I'm quite satisfied with it
except for its 15" tft display: view angle is limited (thogh still
decent) and colors and detail are really poor (that's a serious issue
when watching videos or pictures from my camera).
I also own a 17" tft of the same brand

Greetings :)
I'm running Debian Testing on my laptop. Everything seems to be working
ok but I have two quick questions :)
The screen resolution seems fixed. My laptop is a Toshiba M3X-S149. The
video card is an intel 855 I believe. No matter what I set the
resolution to in the XF86CONFIG it never

Hi all.
I just compiled a 2.6.9 kernel on my debian sarge notebook with ACPI
support. I also configured tpb but some keys do not work. The notebook
is a IBM thinkpad r50p.
What can I do to get the key to change the video output (Fn + F7)
working?
Is there any chance to get my notebook to work af
Hi,
about six months ago, I installed debian woody (kernel 2.4.22) on my
ASUS L3500. Having a SiS 65x/M650/740 VGA display adapter, I used the
SiS driver provided by T. Winischhofer
(http://www.winischhofer.at/linuxsisvga.shtml) with XFree86 (I don't
rememeber the version) and fluxbox as window man

Hi,
I decided to write an own acpi monitoring software for
textmode using ncurses because i dont like the normal acpi
package of debian.
You can find it on
http://www.ngolde.de/download/tacpi-0.0.2.tar.gz
I write because i don't know, if this program works on other
systems then mine (asus m6800nb

Hi Michael,
Hope all is going well mate.
I've got an Inspiron 8500, and I bought/installed the Proxim Orinoco
Gold card, which was a 802.11a/b/g mini-PCI card.
It works fine under Debian with the GPL madwifi (atheros) driver.
There's also a debian package available for building kernel module
