22Mbs , chipset by Texas Instrument) . I got this card working fine

I use the wlan-ng drivers with my 650. That way I can use kismet and
airsnort.

Inspiron 500m (bought in Germany). Same graphics chip, though. The
problem is that Dell just doesn't provide the needed Video BIOS
update.

I just bought a new Dell Inspiron 1100, which according to various sites
is supposed to work fine under X, as long as I have X 4.3.
Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to be the case.

Just noticed that my Acer TM800 feels quite hot. Fan is not running,
though, and akpi shows only about 48°C - which wouldn't be that
critical. Now maybe I'm wrong and akpi is right and there's nothing to
worry about, but I want to be sure that the fan is independent off any
OS specific acpi
