OK, I see it now - I had some inconsisties between the
modline and mode listings for my default color depth.

That brings up another question. How does one change
the color depth? Again, I have several listed but

It is the only linux box I have at the moment, and I was wondering how I
should go about backup it up.
I have heaps of diskspace on various win2k boxes, perhaps I could tar what I

Modline
for 1024 x 768, which is what I think I need for a
projector.
