Dear Debian Users,
I'm using Debian GNU/Linux unstable. Recently I move to a new place and
the ethernet configuration changed as a result. I manually edited all
the files.
It works fine except that each time when pcmcia service starts, the IP
address, network mask and other things are of the

thanks for all the help! i see the opl3sa2.o modules in my /misc directory
but i am having a hell of a time using modprobe. when i use it i get a
'can't locate' error, which i get for every combination of directories i
enter in. the module itself is located in /lib/modules/2.2.

May be OT, but I don't know, where else to ask.
I'd like to upgrade my 30Gigs HD with a bigger one from IBM. This one
should be the one with 60GB. I'm sure, debian/sid won't make me
problems, but I don't know, if this could cause problems with the
Inspiron? (HD-Size, etc.)

I've got -testing running on a satellite 3000 aok. How do you know that
the IDE slot isn't being recognized?

Hi,
I have the same notebook and it installed fine using the ide-pci kernel
install disk on the normal disks it hangs on the md driver. use a
different kernel image for install and it will work.

a problem to install Debian ... the IDE slot is not recognize , if some
