Hi all. Just installed Debian (kernel 2.2.12) on my Toshiba 435 CDS Satellite Pro (120mhz, 16 meg ram). All went well, and by recompiling a new kernel I was even able to get sound up. (I used the make-kpkg technique; went well without a hitch). When the default kernel came up, I had full access to

I've just installed potato on my Sharp PC 9090 notebook. I used to run slink with no problem, but in potato the fonts in Xwindows are displayed far too big. I first noticed it when I started Communicator and the text beneath the icons (back, reload etc) was much bigger than it used to be. The same

I currently have it going on a Satellite Pro 4300, works great. X was using the FBDev until I found a "beta" S3 Savage driver for it through the folks at xfree86.org. The sound works well, though it's not up to desktop standards, it works. Infared I think would work if I had anything to use it

I run a Satellite 2100CDS No infrared but I did manage to get USB running and used a webcam. I'm not sure if the modem is working. Also X works fast (currently using staroffice) one down side is when I move a window mij screen start to flikker a bit.. It's just there but I don't mind. It does not
