A laptop's LCD screen is only good for one resolution. I throw a wide range of
numbers at it and it picks the only one that works.

This is not a problem with DLINK cards. This is true of ANY manufacturer's
16-bit PCMCIA card (Xircom, 3Com, Intel, etc.) Since there is no such thing as
a "15mbps hub", or a "20mbps hub", it wouldn't make sense to call it a 20mbps
PC Card. These kind of cards do connect to 100mbps networks,

A recent "bug" in XF86Setup made me wonder... (I think it wasn't a bug,

How does an LCD screen work? XF86Setup generates modelines with a 65.15
dot clock for any resolution I select, which turns out "invalid" for any
resolution other than 1024x768.
I have a Dell Inspiron 3800 with a ESS Maestro 3i sound card.
The maestro driver in kernel 2.2.17 doesn't seem to work.(The source states
that it only is for the
versions 1, 2 and 2E)
Anybody have a pointer to a good patched version of this driver ?
