I see that there is already an update which is supposed to take care of
this problem in Sid, so I guess I'll wait and see what happens when that
makes it into Lenny.

In Debian Lenny, the most recent update for the Linux Kernel will not
boot. This is on a Lenovo J Series 3000 desktop.
After selecting the latest Kernel from the menu at first boot, all
things begin to bo
