Kernel linux-image-6.1.0-0.deb11.21-686-pae from backports solved the
problem for now.

when trying to run -32 and -33 kernels.
I'd be glad for any hints - command line options? backports?

Dear Maintainer,
I have upgraded from stretch to buster (kernel 4.9 to 4.19), and one of my
network interfaces (r8169) stopped working.
Reboot with kernel from stretch (4.9) makes it work again. But it does not work
with
which now boots OK even
without numa=off.
Thanks for preparing the fixed version.
As a prevention I have installed the fixed kernel also on HP ProLiant DL380
Gen9, but did not dare yet to reboot that one as it is the production box.
Best Regards

Looks like I'm having this issue, too. Kernel fails almost daily.
with 3.2.0-2 kernel "pcie_aspm=off" helped, 3.2.0-3 it doesn't help anymore.
My temporary workaround is to roll back to 3.2.0-2.

My server does not use VMWare so I think we can ignore that.
