Source: linux Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
* What led up to the situation? Regular update from linux-image-5.10.0-30-686-pae to linux-image-5.10.0-33-686-pae, followed by reboot. * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? Tried to boot linux-image-5.10.0-32-686-pae - did not work Tried to boot linux-image-5.10.0-30-686-pae - server is running * What was the outcome of this action? With the faulty kernels (-32, -33), after choosing it in grub, there was nothing on the screen. Just blank black screen and cursor in the corner * What outcome did you expect instead? Normal boot of the system. I have checked the diff between config of -30 and -32, only some NFS related options and CONFIG_ARCH_WANT_FRAME_POINTERS=y (about which I could not find any more info). Nothing was logged when trying to run -32 and -33 kernels. I'd be glad for any hints - command line options? backports?
