Dear Maintainer,
I can second this.
My machine's an old Thinkpad T410. I use root encryption. System boots
from a
(not encrypted) /boot partition and hangs after loading the initramfs. In my
case, my screen turns black before enter

Some news, again!
The error messages doesn't seem to appear EVERY time. Today I plugged
the card into one of my Debian Lenny laptops and I didn't get an error
message...
O.k.!
Then another frightening news: I found a bugreport on Ubuntu

It took some time, but finally Pavel Roskin took mercy on me... :)
After I sent him some lines of the kern.log (with the driver activated
for my pcmcia-card), he wrote to me:

A guy from the kernel.org-list told me to do this:
"Can you try to load orinoco_cs driver by hand and then add PCMCIA id of
your card using command below ?

The next time I inserted the card, I got an
