I meant to say rsyncing a large volume of files over the
network TO the machine seems to work ok, but rsyncing a
large volume of files FROM the machine causes the kernel panic.
The earlier version of the rt73 driver that works shows
version 1.0.4.0 in /var/log/messages at load time.
