Please enable CONFIG_PATA_JMICRON in the configuration.
(It's not in 2.6.22-rc6-amd64 either.)
My Gigabyte 965P-DS3 is fairly buggy with the CONFIG_BLK_DEV_JMICRON
driver, complaining about the CD-ROM drive being confused and detecting
spurio
I am having this issue (cdrom drive "appears confused") with
2.6.21-2-amd64 with this drive:
