My Gigabyte 965P-DS3 is fairly buggy with the CONFIG_BLK_DEV_JMICRON driver, complaining about the CD-ROM drive being confused and detecting spurious audio discs. The Ubuntu Feisty kernel is using CONFIG_PATA_JMICRON instead and it seems to be working ok for me so far. (I rebuilt 2.6.22-rc6-amd64 with that driver enabled.)
