I'm having the exact same problem with the exact same joystick,
but on an Intel laptop running Debian 2.6.8-2-686.
Here's where it gets more interesting: I've had two of the exact
same joysticks. One worked, one doesn't. (The working one is in

AFAICS, from what little communication there's been in #421816, this appears to
