The ide-scsi module isn't used to access SCSI drives, but mkinitrd
generates initrd images that load it at boot time if the host system
has a newer kernel and an SCSI (or SATA) root p

the new driver core, and the changes to udev to obsolete the /etc/dev.d
and /etc/hotplug.d directories.

Hi,
some parameters to the function die() are passed in the wrong order if
decompression fails. This leads to a segmentation fault. The attached
patch fixes that and adds a gcc attribute to prevent similar bugs.
