I have just installed the same kernel image on a sun ultra-1. The
keyboard map is completely wrong - could not even do a ctrl-alt-del to

This kernel deb is unusable on this machine.

I was under the impression that 2.4 could only handle <= 1TB sanely, not
2. So probably the support here is iffy.
Correct me if I'm wrong...

I second this. I tried both kernel-image-2.4.27-1-k7 and a custom build (from

both err on this; maybe it's related (sorry Herbert if I'm wrong) to Herbert

I can make the problem disappear (!) by placing a printk() in the ext3

FYI. This can be useful for debugging of Glibc, Linux, or other kernels.
Notably, it includes tests for pthreads, semaphores and SysV IPC.

Hi,
I have installed Debian-i386 and Debian-amd64 on a new machine. For the i386
install I used a sarge snapshot from July, which worked great. Only this
installed a 2.6.6 kernel, which I'd like to update to 2.6.8. On the AMD64
installation, I simply installed new debian kernel-images and everythin

Hi, i've just installed the package on a Sun Ultra 10.

In fact, I can't login because the keyboard maps
