Hi, I’ve compiled KDE 3.4.0 on Sarge from source and installed it under /opt/kde. With the exception of a few bugs (it was a “dirty” compilation) it work just fine. I have only one question: I use the original KDM as a display manager and when I try to reboot or shutdown my computer under K

I use the default 2.6.8-2-686 Debian kernel. I have only a dvd reader. Since I've found that the krusader filemanager work correctly in that case, I think this is a bug in konqueror or any other kde utility, because in gnome it work as it should work. Well probably gonna use something like "sysct

This is a relatively old bug in KDE itself. Folks say the kio_audiocd grab the cdrom and never let it be umounted. There is some workarounds: for example don't open Konqueror's sidebar. You can still umount it as root, which is course not very comfortable. Or you can modify sysctl - for me it's

mouse cursor
