Hi,
I wonder if anybody is still seeing this bug:
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=191267
The page above says the bug has been resolved, but I'm still seeing it
in Sid, with KDE 4.3.4. Apparently, the problem only happens when
Desktop Effects is turned off.
This bug is incredibly annoying,

Hi,
I'm having lots of problems with KDE 4.4 over the past few days. One of the
problems is that my desktop gets totally corrupted every time my screen saver
kicks in. I think this is related to some regression in the radeon driver in
kernel 2.6.38 though. The main problem I want to report in t

Hello,
I have noticed that when vertically scrolling a text document in the
KDE text editors (Kate, Kwrite, Kile), the scroll happens one
paragraph at a time, instead of one line at a time. I don't know if
this is some recent change, but I just hate it. Does anybody know if
it's possible to change

Hello,
I've been having lots of problems with video artifacts on Debian
Wheezy for quite some time now. It's easier to see from a video:

This problem happens both on my laptop (Radeon graphics card using the
free radeon driver) and on my desktop (Nvidia
Hello all,
I'm having a mounting problem with an external USB disk I just bought.
I googled this up a lot, but couldn't really find a solution.
I use the Device Notifier plasmoid to mount my removable devices.
However, when I connect the external USB drive, it gets mounted as

Status bar corrupted in kate/kwrite
Hi everybody,
When I try to run the spellchecker in kwrite or kate, I get a
corrupted status bar at the bottom of the window (see attached
screenshot). All I need to do to reproduce the problem is hit the
"Spellcheck" icon twice in the main toolbar. Usually (bu
Hi Hector,
Thanks a lot for your reply.
I don't think this is related to the compositor. I played around with
the compositor settings shown in your screenshot (I'm familiar with
those), but it didn't make any difference. I've seen many rendering
artifacts caused by bugs in the graphics stack over
Hi everybody,
In past versions of kontact/kmail (KDE 4), I used disconnected IMAP in
order to keep a local copy of the emails stored in an IMAP server
(e.g., Gmail, Yahoo, etc). This worked relatively well. Yesterday, I
tried to do the same in the new kontact/kmail (version 16.04). I added

I'm having the exact same problem, but on a radeon driver.
In my case, the problem started after an upgrade I did on December
10th, as shown below:
2016-12-10 10:10:08 upgrade ncurses-bin:amd64 6.0+20160917-1 6.0+20161126-1
2016-12-10 10:10:09 upgrade ncurses-base:all 6.0+20160917-1 6.0+20161126-

Hi,
There seems to be a patch available upstream now:
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99333
I haven't applied this patch yet, but after having upgraded my mesa
libraries this morning from version 13.0.2-3 to version 13.0.3-1, I
haven't been hit by this bug (it's been a couple of hou
Hello,
Yesterday I came across a very weird behavior while annotating a pdf
file in Okular. Long story short: I opened a read-only pdf file
(permissions: 400), inserted some comments and hit the save button. At
this point, I thought I had been working on a write-enabled copy of
the file. After a w

I'd like to know if anybody can sign pdf documents using Okular in
Debian as explained in the manual:
https://docs.kde.org/stable5/en/okular/okular/signatures.html
I've never been able to do this, although I have a PKCS signing
certificate available at $HOME/.pki/nssdb. In Okular, the menu entry
