I just started playing around with a program called "kdissert" which
might be exactly what you are looking for.
apt-get install kdissert
There is also kjots, which isn't quite as graphical.

Hello Theo,
Many thanks for the reply.
I have two other machines on my system which both started off using
Woody, and were
later upgraded to Sarge. They both got the correct keymap for my
British keyboard.
The problem arose when I tried to install Sarge (initially) on a third
machine usin

Thank you Matej.
I tried it the KDE way, and it worked first time.
However, when you have a choice of two, as I suppose you do, do you
have to go
through the same procedure each time you wish to swap alphabets ?
Best regards, and thanks to the list.
Geoff.
Then there is KDE-way. Go to C
Hello,
I use Debian Linux, version SID, with the newest official packages, including
KDE. For about two months (more or less) after inserting cd into cd-rom
annoying pop-up appears asking me what to do. I don't want it to appear, but
don't know the way of disabling it.
I run KDE Control Center,
put a cd in, wait for the window to come up... you should see "Do
Nothing", and a checkbox I think is called "Don't ask again"
if you want to disable it, that might be a good way

Hi,
I'm using tellico 1.0.3 - SVN rev. 327 with KDE 3.5.0 (debian unstable).
I'm currently having some troubles when importing Audio CD Data.
If I import data for two CD's consequently, the second one is getting blocked
inside the drive. I can't eject it.
I checked with fuser which processes are

Of course not -- the point is that you can the "Layout" tab more than one

For unstable and KDE 3.5 you need "dbus" instead of "dbus-1".
Also make sure that you have upgraded to the current version of both
udev (0.084-1) and hal/libhal1 (0.5.6-2).

You could get rid of HAL. I apparently don't have it installed. I
occasionally get some spurious warning messages from things about "can't blah
blah blah HAL" I've got some HAL

Guess why udev replaces hotplug by now: hotplug kinda _was_ broken because it
had e.g. some race conditions when using custom scripts (that's also why u
