(i'm running experimental cvs kde debs in case anyone is
interested, though i downgraded and that didn't help. are
there 3.4.0 k3b debs? i can't find them.)

Hello list,

looks like it's libcvsservice related, and when I built kdewebdev,
kdesdk 3.4 was not built, and it was built against the lib from kde
3.3.2
we should build kdewebdev again and see if it still crashes (btw, I can
reproduce it here, I just checked, while I was writing to you ;p)

I have the same problem - I already posted about it (kdevelop3 crashes too for
the same libcvsservice reasons, I think)...
Now I'm using libcvsservice and cervisia from sid's repository and quanta and
kdevelop3 works ok...
To workaround dependency problems I've just extracted sid's libcvsservice

Hi,
I had this problem too. Messing around with the artsd settings seems to
have fixed it. I ran artsd with only the -a switch (specifying that alsa
should be used) and it worked fine. So then I tried changing some
settings in kcontrol under "Sound System" and things seem okay now. Here
are the se

I'll try to compile sid's kdevelop3 package, will see if that helps.
Moreover In case of success I'll have binaries optimized for pentium. :)
Thank you for great help..

Hello,
I am running Debian sarge with KDE 3.3 (Qt: 3.3.3, KDE: 3.3.2) and kdm
as the login manager.
After each reboot (or startup) I get the graphical login screen, but as
soon as I want to type my password the login manager (or kdm) freezes. I
can select `console login', login as root, kill kdm
I'm using the KDE 3.4 packages from aleroth. I want to put a ksysguard
applet in my panel, as I had in KDE 3.3. But when I start it, it can't
connect to ksysguardd, because ksysguardd isn't running.
I don't remember ever having to start ksysguardd myself in 3.3, or ever
wondering whether it had

Well, Kdevelop 3.2.0 (it comes with kde 3.4) compiled successfully and works
with cvsservice :)
Tomorrow I will try to generate non-conflicting deb's and integrate it into my
the system correctly...
