I've already asked this list about my problem. No help at the moment!
In a nutshell: I've copied through NFS and "cp -a directories" a complete
potato 2.2 +kde2 installation from my laptop to my desktop. After a bit
tweaking to make the new installation work now it goes all ok but kdm. When I

I found the source and the powerpc version, but none for i386.

4:2.1.0.1-5 kdebase related packages on the system.

I've just got KDE 2.1.1 up and working. I keep here the buzz about
TrueType fonts.
deselect's only complaint is that xfs-tt is not configured properly.
First off, how do I determine if my video card supports this.
Secondly, how do I configure it properly.
Third, where's a good source of true-type

What does anti-aliasing have to do with true type fonts? I thought that if

Hi,
I have a question related to this topic. What packages should I install

Isn't there a command line tool that lets you grab fields out of the
dpkg DB, so you could generate a list of packages that include (say)
kdelibs3 in the Depends: line... or does it only work with

As far as I understand, anti-aliasing only works with scalable

I'm running Potato here with XFree86 v3.3.6-11 and KDE 2.1.1. KDE
itself seems to be fine, but what I'm having a problem with is non-KDE
X applications (e.g., ical and grip). In particular the font size seems to be
too big and I can't seem to find a way to adjust this within KDE's
own control me
