Using the alioth preview packages with gpg-agent and pinentry-qt, if I attempt
to open an encrypted message the pinentry dialog pops up. Awesome. But if I
click 'Cancel' or enter an incorrect passphrase, Kontact asks me if I want to
retry or cancel opening the message. If I click cancel, Kontact

I use Konqueror's Info List View a lot, for some reason. I noticed recently
that in KDE 3.4, the two columns visible (Size and Items) are empty for any
non-folder item. Also, adding and removing columns via View->Show Details
doesn't work in Info List View.
Switching to Detailed List View solve

Hey all,
KMail's composer window has an HTML toolbar that's been harassing me lately. I
never, ever compose HTML mail, and the toolbar appears whenever I go to write
a new message. I've removed the toolbar via the Settings menu, but it still
shows up with every message.
Is anyone else being st

I've noticed that with kicker 3.4, going in and out of fullscreen with xine-ui
or kaffeine can sometimes cause kicker to segfault, and not restart.
I'm not sure whether or not to hope I'm the only one... ;)

Hello all,
media:/ in the current 3.4 packages only shows my floppy drive. Should it also
show, for example, mounted/unmounted USB storage devices? What about internal
hard disk partitions? If it's not supposed to show these things, what's the
recommended way to mount them in KDE 3.4?
Here's a

27;t load in kontact. Running
korganizer by itself gives me:
korganizer: error while loading shared libraries: libknewstuff.so.1:
cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Luckily, I use evolution at work so I can deal.

I may, but I generally don't like "media library" apps - I take pains to keep
my music collection organized in the first place, so it really just wastes my
time :)

P.S. Keep in mind that Kaffeine is very new. It's more stable than Noatun (for
me) but it can be a tad fragile at times. I use amarok for music and Kaffeine
for movies.

Yeah, you did something wrong.
I've upgraded a couple of boxen (one from 3.2.0, one from 3.1.4) and here's a
couple common problems I've seen and the solutions that worked for me:
Empty KMenu:
dpkg --force-depends -P kicker && dpkg -i /var/cache/apt/archives/kicker_4%

As for your first problem... no clue.
The second one I ran into today. I did that by enabling "show crypto icons" in
Configure KMail:Appearance:Headers. All the messages I hadn't looked at
recently (whether flagged as Read or Unread) got two little question marks
where the crypto icons were on
