Hello!
I have an additional question to an old mailing list discussion:
http://lists.debian.org/debian-kde/2004/04/msg00259.html
It was about dependency problems just due to the fact, that packages are
(unnecessarily) named different: There are many KDE backports out
there, some of them depend

Hi!
Will this package be also renamed in the 'final release' of KDE322 for
Woody?
This would break compatibility with many (all?) existing KDE
applications packaged for KDE < 322.
I am providing a package of k3b for woody. This package won't install
with the current debs of KDE322. Sure, it's

script), and just returned to include it again, because of thousands of

Hi!
I wonder if there is a standalone package of artsd available.
One of my computers is running KDE. The second computer is a Xless server (no
graphic card/monitor). I know that it's possible to use arts (artsdsp) to
redirect sound played on the server via network to the KDE-machine (which ha

Hi!
I updated my system to kde3.1.1 / X11_4.3 using Ralfs packages. Mostly
everything works perfect, but one exception: The font, used by 'konsole'
looks like this:

(it is also bold...)
I found some things about defining font aliases from 'mono' to 'fixed' via

Hi!
It has been discussed a few days before how to setup kdm to use a login shell:
in /etc/kde3/kdm/Xsession change the first line from:
#!/bin/sh
to
#!/bin/bash --login
ok.
i wonder if this should be the default (it seems to be default for xdm/gdm) as
some packages need /etc/profile sourced.

Hmm, you're running sarge, right?
Open a konsole and start noatun there. Does it complain about a missing

In that case, become root and do:

Now, there are two possibilities of getting KDE3.1 for debian:

What 're the pros/cons of each of them?
I want to give it a try, installing it on my debian sarge. Is this possible?
