Hi,
Has anyone got the (rather nice) mozilla-mplayer plugin from
http://www.debian-multimedia.org to work in konqueror?
It works fine in Iceweasel, installs fine in konqueror, stops asking
me to install a movie plugin (for say... Quicktime) but then does
nada. Any thoughts?
What are the plugin a
Can anyone else reproduce this behaviour? I've filed a bug
report, but it strikes me as more likely to be a packaging
issue.
It isn't a general file attach problem (other files attach
fine) and it doesn't appear to be a preview problem (as I
tried it with that turned off).

Hi,
I'm a longtime KDE and for a long time one of the most
annoying things has been the speed with which "view
document source" in konqueror runs. I think it's either
because it opens a new instance of kwrite every time and/or
because it re-requests the html from the server.
Has anyone found a
count yourself lucky, k3b crashes for me when all i try and
do is start it. :(.
(i'm running experimental cvs kde debs in case anyone is
interested, though i downgraded and that didn't help. are
there 3.4.0 k3b debs? i can't find them.)

Hi,
I've a number of machines with KDE on. Some of the older
ones have predictive completion (faded text that will
complete if you press enter rather than the drop down list
of options variety) for run command (Alt-F2) but I've no
idea how I turned it on or how to turn it on on my newer

Hi,
I've recently upgraded a couple of machines from 3.3.0 and
3.2 to kde 3.3.1 respectively (or whichever the latest of
everything in sid is). Since rebooting every program that
uses libkdenetwork (i think) has become prone to freezing
permanently and in some cases freezing everything else in

Hi,
I'm having a couple of related headaches in konqueror.
When I visist a lot of sites now (a good example being
www.sinfest.net, but many php sites are also causing
problems) I am prompted by a "save as" dialog. Presumably
konqueror doesn't recognise the file, but it's making

I don't seem to be able to.
Kongueror offers to remember every password (and kwallet
asks for confirmation) but I can see no way of retrieving
that password later.
Since I also get the problem with kopete, I think there must
be something wrong with my system.

fair enough. I thought something like that might be the case.

I'm trying to workout if this was deliberately inconsiderate or not.
It's not like kde 3.1.1 has been officially released (as far as i can
tell). What you have done is force people still using other packages
to upgrade to the incomplete sid ones if they want a package.
Grumble aside, can anyone
check your /var/cache/apt/archives for the old kde packages and get
busy with dpkg -i.
Then consider why you're running sid.

Karolina's debs were excellent, and I for one will continue to use them until
at least kde 3.1.1.
As for the kdenetwork situation, it is strangely reminiscent of the problems
we had with kde 2. Perhaps the packages need to be better distributed between
developers? Ivan set a bad precedent by m

Hey,
Whenever I open text files in konqueror, it launches kate and opens the text
file in a new window. This is really annoying. I quite like looking at the
files in kate, but not if that means cluttering up my screen with new
windows. Is there anyway to set konqueror up to embed the files in th
