If I update xorg core to 2:1.19.0-3 major freezes/crash after a few minutes or
black screen where sddm login should be seen. Under 2:1.18.4-2 (downgraded to
xorg files as of Nov 2016) maybe once per day (runs 24/7) task bar and clock
freeze while open windows seem ok. Switching to another tty (ctrl-alt-F2) and
back restores normal operation. I am running testing upgraded about once per

I forgot After downgrading to libqt5x11extras5_5.4.2-2+b1_amd64 use
"apt-mark hold libqt5x11extras5" to hold the version so you can do normal
upgrades without this bug hitting you again.

The recent upgrade to kdepim 4.14.0 on Sid and the introduction of baloo
means that I can now get results from searching my mail which hasn't worked
at all for the last few months with nepomuk.
However the search results are showing duplicate entries of every item found

I have dealt with.
Of course after a KDE upgrade any running KDE programs get confused.
So I always do KDE ugprades from the text console without KDE
running. But never at any time has a reboot been needed. :-)

I don't use KDE 3.2 yet, but I believe Abiword can read WP documents. Not
sure about writing and I don't have the current version here at work to
check. The reader goes back a ways as it worked in Woody so I would think

flash and acrobat do. There's a bug report in the KDE database about

FWIW I just tested some printing to file utilities.
Using dia, created a postscript file in landscape.
Displayed OK in gs.
Made a pdf file using ps2pdf.
The pdf displayed in landscape on both gs and acroread.
Might be worth trying to print to file in postscript format to see if that
works.
