Interestingly the icon's are in place, e.g.

Hi,
I've seen Qt 4.5 has reached testing now but I did not dare to upgrade
those packages, yet. Is it safe to use it along with KDE 3.5 ?
Does this mean KDE 4 will soon reach testing, too ?

Hi,
I have a problem, I installed debian lenny with a web server (apache2,
mysql, php5) with dyndns. The issue is not access my web page from the
external network.

not know if the debian install a firewall by default.

Hi,
Well fixing a issue and then another issue starts.
Well I glad to see the plugin to manager the ark into dolphin and
konqueror again. When I unpack a tar, rar, ... all works fine, but when I
try to make a rar, ... my dolphin crashes. If I try with konqueror it is

While I've been hit with some annoying bugs and a couple of lack of
features like no system beep passed through Konsole, I've not seen the
crashes. Perhaps that has more to do with your video driver and
kernel. Other than KDM refusing to start since upgrading to KDE4,
after installing kernel 2.6.

Amen. KDE 4 has been out well over a year. In fact it's more than
two years since the first test release. I've tried it a two or three
times and always run away

Hi,
short update - tried a new user, still missing icons. When I use the menu
editor to assign a new icon, e.g. for okular, it's not found in the

Hi Sune.
Thank you responding.
You're right (wrt the akonadi stuff) - it's something I got some
help with from Michael, et al, on this list a little while back.
I think cranking up another MySQL instance is not necessarily the
most optimum approach for an application to do - and it might i

Your so-called akonadi-workaround isn't any kind of workaround, but a
possibility for people who want to use the system running mysql. The

Hi,
for some time now (about 1 week) KDE 4.2 in unstable seems to be a bit broken.
Plasma freezes from time to time which makes it unuseable from then on. I
didn't report a bug so far because I couldn't track this problem down to a
specific application. Any suggestions?

KDE 4.2 plays an annoying sound after I leave the laptop alone for 10
minutes or so. I'm guessing this is a notification that the screen is being
locked, but I cannot figure out how to turn it off. I failed to find the
