Hello,
I have noticed the 'devices' menu in kstars is missing from kstars, despite
the fact that the kstars manual has a complete chapter regarding the control
of hardware devices. After researching a little bit I found that this is
caused by the fact that kstars apparently is not build to use

I just have installed fam package, started it, run KDE - hangs again on
"Initializing services" (blinking HDD icon). After long waiting the
splash screen simply disappears and I can see empty screen w/ login

Now it is *.10 but the problem remains still.
It is weird to notice but all KDE applications are slow to start when
are run from WM.
