(Jakub, this is a reply to a mail [1] in the debian-kde mailing list,

Try to read once more, what I wrote -- I did not say a word _against_ X.org
(I suppose, that in the next version of Debian -- I mean post-sarge -- X
will be based on X.org). What I
Hello,
I just tried out the new KDE 3.4 packages from Alioth. Except for a filename
clash between kmail and kdebase-data which needed manual intervention
(manually upgrade kdebase-data beforehand), installation went smoothly.
Thanks for the good work!
However I noticed that the ZeroConf stuff

Mmm, I don't think there are other parameters to the mouse speed other
than the acceleration and the threshold, i.e., that you can't set the

I'm currently tracking sarge with a few packages from unstable. I use

For a while now I occasionally get emails that have bodies from one

Yes, thanks for reporting. Although we already knew about this

The last couple of days I have not been able to complete an "apt-get
dist-upgrade" on my "sid" system, because it warns me that it will remove
metapackages kde and kdeaddons. It looks to me as if the problem is caused
by the newest version of the "vim" packages (1:6.3-068+4): the changelog

Just wanted to add my thanks to the developers. I've been using debian
(first Woody, then Sarge, now Sid) for a little over a year now, and I'm
just a normal user. I installed sarge on my wife's laptop and she runs
it without a problem. We seldom boot into windows any more. Debian's the
best! W

You know what? I cannot care less if my KDE is running on XFree86 or on
X.org. I am user and for me what is important is that I have KMail, LyX,
Konqueror, and for example Gras

Have attempted to install KDE-3.4.0 on my Debian system by pointing my

The install failed because of errors with 'Kdict' and 'Kmail'.
I downloaded these two packages from the alioth.debian.org site and tried to

My old one had 400dpi and my new mouse seems to bee way too fast! I've seen

want to set the acc but the speed.
I've also tried to manualy(!)
