That's what I tried first with the same results and that was two days ago. I
read on the kde-devel mailing list that using libxml2 > 2.4.25 was causing
this to happen. So, afte

I am having trouble building debs from the latest KDE CVS. The problem is with
the docs, suprise, suprise. I am using all sid except libxml2 2.4.24-1 and
libxml2-dev 2.4.24-1 as suggested but the build still fails shortly after
the meinproc command. By the way, qt-copy and kdelibs built fine by usi
I'm wanting to use some of the debian packages from
http://ers.linuxforum.hu/kde3deb/, but I am denied access. Has anyone
mirrored the packages from this source, specifically arson and krusader?
And it's been this way for a couple of weeks, so indeed, it probably is dead.
Thanks.

If you're referring to the alleged kdeaddons build failure, I patched
kdeaddons/debian in CVS after Peter mailed me so yep, it should work fine
(out of CVS) now.

Hi, how do I know with which compiler I'm compiling?, or how can I set it tup
to copile with other versions?
Thank you

Hi there,
After I finish using KDE and I choose the "Logout" option, linux sends me back
to console mode, butthe console has a wrong size and resolution, I cannot
see the last 3 or 4 lines of the bottom of the screen/console
Does anybody knows why is that? and how can it be resolved?. I hav

I've just upgraded my sarge/sid system to kde 3. No problems so far.
But when I run apt-get install koffice, apt wants to put kde2 back.
Here are the sources I want to draw kde apps from:
#KOffice, kdeartwork, kdeaddons, kdeedu, kdesdk, kdetoys, kile, kbear,

Hello all,
I just made my move from SuSE to debian woody on my DELL Inspiron laptop, I had
a hard time configuring it, but now everything works GREAT.
I noticed woody comes with kde2, is there a smooth way to upgrade to kde3?,
maybe a HOWTO or something?, or if there's no HOWTO, can anybody giv

Hi,
I wanted to upgrade my kde from 3.0.1 to 3.0.5, thorugh source
compiling, as I don't want this from deb's.
The problem is, that somehow the kdeartwork configure script seems
"broken" to me. It tries to compile the following test program, to test
wether QT-lib has OpenGL support

I failed to fix the problem: Postgresql and Mysql work fine, but I still
could not activate them within QtDesigner. Removing and reinstalling mysql
