This is your real problem. kdelibs3 is for KDE2, and kdelibs4 is for KDE3,
due to upstream library sonames. I

Thanks to the posting by <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> it appears that our
problem (NY Times, UK Register and NHL) is due to an erroneous IPV6 call
that is rejected and/or times out. It is also recommended to recompile
kdelibs with IPV6 set to no. It makes a lot of sense, earlier in thi

I presume you mean they won't add the loginfo line, since that's all we'd be
asking them for.

I am curious as to whether the kde packages at kde.org will become the
official kde packages in the debian archive, or if the official packages will
come from somewhere else.

I'm afraid I don't have an answer for you, but I too experience sluggish
browsing on certain sites. Most noticably with www.tsn.ca and
www.nhl.com (check out the left panel on that page, it's hideous!). I
have no idea what causes it but since I'm using 3.0.4 I figured it'd be
fixed in 3.1...

I have been using Konqueror for browsing the NY Times for as long as
it's been possible from early versions of KDE (1.x?, 2.x) and recently
(since 3.0 and now 3.1 Beta 2). I have noticed sluggish behavior that
occurs consistently w

Upgraded my KDE into 3.0.4, Qt 3.0.5.
Besides database connectivity problem I have also flwg problem:
qt3-tools package (which, I suppose, should contain a.o. qtdesigner
qtlinguist, qmake, uic, moc) has been installed . Found that qmake and
moc do not exist in $QTDIR/bin.
Could someone help me
Hi all,
Upgraded my KDE from 3.0.3 to 3.0.5,under woody and automatically Qt was
upgraded to 3.0.5. Since then I can NO LONGER CONNECT QtDesigner either
to mysql or postgresql databases.
It is advised in the QtPlugins Howto: plugins must be REcompiled. I do
not know exactly how to recomplile them
Hi,
it does not work, because qt has been compiled without xft support. I just
recompiled qt myself...

Hi,
I just tried to compile KDE3.1rc1 and observed the following compilation

I've been having problems with my transparent Konsole which I
think might be related to the Gnome 2 packages. I'm running the KDE
3.0.4 packages off kde.org on sid.
When I start Konsole, instead of showing the desktop image as the
Konsole background it shows whatever is displaying beneath

Look at http://www.davidpashley.com/debian-kde/faq.html, and add the
sources.list line that includes http://peopl

If I fail, I will ask you to email me your compiled package.
You could also try the kdevelop beta, called 'gideon', those packages are
available for kde 3.x. It may or may not be stable enough for you though.
